How to Prepare for Your Photo Shoot

What to wear, what to bring, and how to prepare for a smooth ZZMEDIA photo session

How to Prepare for Your Photo Shoot

A smooth shoot starts with a little planning. Here is how to get the best possible result from your ZZMEDIA session.

Before the Shoot

Clarify the Goal

Tell us how the photos will be used. That helps us guide the look and feel of the session.

Common goals include:

  • Website and branding photos
  • Social media content
  • Team headshots
  • Product photos
  • Event coverage
  • Real estate or location marketing

Plan What to Bring

Depending on the shoot, you may need:

  • Outfit options
  • Products or props
  • Brand materials
  • A shot list or inspiration images
  • Access to the location

Prep the Space

If we are shooting at your business, office, or venue:

  • Tidy the areas that will be photographed
  • Remove distractions or clutter
  • Make sure key staff know when we are arriving
  • Have important items staged and ready

Wardrobe Tips

  • Solid colors usually photograph best
  • Avoid overly busy patterns unless they are part of your brand
  • Bring 2 to 3 options when possible
  • Make sure clothing fits well and is wrinkle-free
  • Keep accessories simple unless the look calls for more personality

Day-Of Tips

  • Arrive a few minutes early if you are coming to us
  • Eat and hydrate before the session
  • Bring anything we discussed in pre-production
  • Be open to direction and movement during the shoot
  • Do not stress about posing; we will guide you

What We Handle

ZZMEDIA handles the creative direction, lighting, camera work, and editing. Your main job is to show up prepared and ready to collaborate.

If You Are Unsure

If you are not sure what to wear, what to bring, or how much to prepare, ask us before the shoot. We would rather help you plan ahead than have you guess.
